Sunrise Vista features 5 acres of property shared with sister property Black Bear’s Den. Two hiking trails, The Nature Trail and Frye’s Trail, are available to guests staying at either location.
The Nature Trail is an excellent way to practice balance control. As you meander down into the wooded valley, you will cross some rocky terrain which adds to the fitness benefit that you get only when hiking. Millions of people are hooked on hiking every year to promote fitness. While exercise is one definite payoff, simply being out in nature give you back that sense of freedom you felt when you were a child. All natural trails may be topped with loose leaves or be interrupted by rocks, or various plantings that you may have to cross over, giving your body a chance to move in the new ways. This experience is excellent for all ages as you reconnect with the great outdoors.
The Frye’s Trail is designed for the more adventurous person who wants to hike along the ridge where you will have captivating views. Hiking on this trail you will find the terrain fluctuating from mountainous to flat ground. Once on the ridge, you may find yourself hiking alongside with turkey or deer along with ample opportunity for bird watching. This natural exploration bonds the mind, body and spirit back together once again.
Tree markings throughout the trail will lead you back home to relax in the hot tub.
